Montmartre & Sacré-Cœur

The village Paris never quite annexed.

Montmartre & Sacré-Cœur

Montmartre was still countryside with working windmills and vineyards when it was folded into Paris in 1860, and it has never fully let go of that village feeling. Climb the hill for the white domes of Sacré-Cœur, then get lost in the streets behind it, where painters once set up easels and a handful still do.
