Airport Transfers

Paris has two main airports, and they're not interchangeable.

Airport Transfers

Most international flights land at Charles de Gaulle (CDG), northeast of the city; budget airlines often use Orly (ORY), to the south, or occasionally Beauvais, which is not really in Paris at all despite the marketing. Knowing which airport you're flying into — and matching it to the right train, not a guess — is the difference between a 45-minute transfer and a stressful, expensive one.

Hours
RER and shuttle services run from early morning to around midnight
Price
RER B from CDG around €12, taxi flat rate to central Paris around €55–65
Tip
Buy your RER ticket before boarding — inspectors do check, and fines for riding without one are steep.
